A society where young individuals are empowered to lead initiatives that bring meaningful and sustainable change in their communities, fostering a future where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive.

Building a sustainable and inclusive future

A world where youth-driven efforts contribute to environmental sustainability, social equality, and improved well-being, ensuring a better quality of life for current and future generations.

Our Mission

Youth empowerment for social impact

To engage and empower young individuals by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities needed to address social challenges, fostering leadership and innovation for the betterment of society.

Promoting sustainable development and inclusivity

Driving initiatives that promote environmental sustainability, social equality, and community well-being, so our efforts contribute to a more inclusive, resilient, and prosperous future for all.

Our flagship initiative

Covering Lives, Spreading Warmth

Access to basic necessities like clothing is often limited in rural tribal communities. So every year, we turn the city's spare wardrobes into clean, warm clothing for children, adults, and the elderly — especially before the harsh winter months.

  1. 01

    We set up stalls

Collection stalls go up at different locations across Surat so anyone can drop off clothes easily.

  2. 02

    You donate

Citizens, families, and partner organisations bring their clean, wearable old clothes.

  3. 03

    We sort & pack

Our volunteers sort everything by size and type, and pack it for the journey.

  4. 04

    We deliver in person

Volunteers travel to remote tribal villages and hand the clothes directly to families in need.

How it all began

Our Founders

Youth4People was born out of the COVID-19 crisis. When the 2020 lockdown left thousands of migrant workers stranded in Surat, far from their families and with no way home, a small group of young friends decided they could not just stand and watch.

What began as a few phone calls turned into three special trains that carried more than a thousand workers home to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and 45 days of volunteering on the frontline at New Civil Hospital. That spirit of showing up for people when they need it most is what Youth4People still runs on today.
